Métis is a series that combines Black and white photo-narrative triptychs and classic landscape color images. It spans moments and places located in France , Canada and the West Indies. At first it appeared to me as a handbook for a novel to be (Contredanse: a story about a family of mixed-race children), then evolved in a search to combine more tightly images and text.

It had been shown in several occasions in Montréal starting with the 1996 edition of the Black history month and also at Toronto's Gallery 44 and Bishop's university Art Gallery Lennox Ville, Québec). (21 images)
